Feature Model - Blossom the Birman

Introducing Blossom

So if you have checked out my listings on Etsy.com you would have noticed that I have a number of models, showing off my pieces.

There is Sara-Jane (check out the earring listings), Charli (check out the earring and bird pendant listings), Myself (large pair of birds pendant listing) and the number one model in the World of That Vintage...

Blossom
15 year old Birman

I sat down with Blossom, in her favourite room - the Art Room, basking in the sunshine and popped a couple questions her way.

Sophie
: "How long have you been modelling for That Vintage?"

Blossom
: "It has been about 9 months now... the time has gone by so fast, so many great shots have been snapped by the photographer - I barely have to lift a finger... make that paw!"

Sophie
: "Are the shoots good fun? Or do you find them mentally, physically and emotionally draining?"

Blossom
: "Some of my family members call me Blossom The Bitch, in a loving humorous way - but I actually do think I can be quite the Drama Queen - some of the shoots, I have to meow my way through them to help get me in the zone. I once demanded a bribe."

Sophie
: "And what was this bribe?"

Blossom
: "A tin of Sardines."

Sophie
: "Oh... yum?"

Blossom
: "Yes, they were delicious, but I wasn't allowed to eat on the set of the photoshoot - it was almost like dangling the carrot in front of the donkey... except I had a partially opened tin of Sardines."

Sophie
: "Any more exciting modeling ventures coming up?"

Blossom
: "I'd love to do a shoot with the new That Vintage Bird Bags that are being released soon. I'd like to see myself being carried around in them - Paris Hilton & Tinkerbell style."

Sophie: "Sardine's going to be the bribe again?"
Blossom
: "Yes, Sardines and a saucer of thickened cream... yum"

We left the interview there, Blossom went off into a dazed state of purring... oh the life of a Model Cat!

Giddy Up

Today it is The Launceston Cup - horse racing... fashion feast... alcoholic overdosing... etc - you get the idea.

I'm not really all that keen on the races, well not the ones in my town - it just doesn't appeal to me, but I have always wanted to go to something bigger, like The Melbourne Cup.

If I were to ever go to the cup... I reckon I'd be wearing something extravagant. Not that I could ever afford it haha!

Tweetin' Update

Hellooooo Lovely People!

So, I can't believe I posted one blog, and haven't done anything since - does that make me a really bad blogger? I think so. But I am going to endevour to change that around and become a really good blogger! Just you wait and see!

Etsy - my store online is now bursting at the seams with new earrings, new brooches, new pendants, new hairslides and NEW RINGS!

rabbit love pendant $26.50

pair of birds ring in brown $15.80

khaki button stack ring $4.20

lucy's clouds hairslides $5.60
red vine earrings $6.80

In November 2008 - I got a year older, I am now 22 years old. It was on this day that I had my first ever market stall at the Locally Handmade and Produced "Civic Homespun Market" in Launceston. It was the first ever day for the market too - so it was quite exciting and quite a risk! But to tell you the truth, it was the best thing that I had ever done for my label... I have attained so much more exposure - so many more followers and fans, it brings such a smile to my face!

December 2008 saw a popular demand at my North Mel
bourne stockist "Thread Den" (www.threadden.com) - for my button earrings, brooches and pendants! When you are in demand, it really makes you think - "wow, I am onto a good thing!"

January 2009... ahh, a new year. Resolutions are made, pr
omises are made to yourself and to others - but will they keep? Will the resolutions change lives in good ways? Or will the un-kept resolutions drag you down for the whole 365 days?! I made a simple resolution - to go on some holidays around the country, maybe even around the world.
And my first flap of the ol' wings is happening in March.
I am heading to Melbourne for:
The Stitches & Craft Show (http://www.stitchesandcraft.com.au/melbourne/)
"Thread Den" is having a stall showcasing their desig
ners - including that vintage!!!
How exciting is that!

Anyway, stay tuned for more updates and some special features on my favourite ETSY SELLERS!!
