Niche Is A Knocking!

One market done and dusted this week... another creeping up on the horizon!
Niche - All Wrapped Up returns to the Tramsheds at Inveresk, Launceston this coming Friday 30th of March 4pm-8pm and on Saturday 31st of March 10am-3pm. More information can be found on the Niche - All Wrapped Up event page.
Don't forget about the reason why Niche is in existence... it is a fundraising market event, in which 20% of the profits from each stallholder goes directly to the fantastic organisation that is St Giles Tasmania.
So, it is certainly a good-will good-feel shopping event!
See you there!

Another Wrap.

The past couple of weeks have been absolutely nuts! Another Niche: All Wrapped Up done and dusted... the weather was less than kind, but the people still came out to support the handmade design community and St Giles Tasmania.
Thankyou to all who came!

Such A Visual Delight.

The above photos are of the display of That Vintage in at the Kings Meadows Florist - displayed by my very clever friend Lauren.
Lauren certainly has an eye for visual merchandising and thinking outside of the box; her displays create little stories and I truly adore that!

And for all you lucky lovers of handmade goodness who live in or around Launceston, Lauren will be having a stall at the next Niche: All Wrapped Up market event, which may I add is only 30 days away - so check her out on facebook and be sure to follow her blog!

'Tis The Season, Niche Is Just Around The Corner.

Can you believe it? Niche: All Wrapped Up is on again in 35 days!
It really is so crazy how fast this year is travelling - I had a moment this morning where I was flicking through my calendar, looking at the rest of October and into November and December, I felt completely pooped after just looking at how chock-a-block the rest of the year is!

Niche: All Wrapped Up is a fabulous event - the crew at St Giles are fantastic and a pleasure to work with at the market.
This time around, the market is going to be bigger and better... four huge rooms, sixty stall holders and the "halls of Niche" will be decked out by the talented Lauren from Leaves & Stems.

Top secret - I have insider information, but I am not one to ruin a surprise!
You'll have to come along and check it out!

Niche, You're So Niche.

This beautiful set of photographs was taken by the clever duo at Cheese House Productions - they even put together a little mini clip of the first day at Niche: All Wrapped Up! Check it out on their blog.
It is the final day today, kicking off at 10am and wrapping up at 4pm - Tramsheds at Inveresk, Launceston.

It Is Almost Here!

Gee, where has the time gone!
Niche: All Wrapped Up is almost here again - everything has been checked and double checked - all that is left to do is pack the car and play "set up shop" - which is my ultimate favourite! I have a huge liking for visual merchandising and can not wait to put some of the new ideas that my good friend Lauren and I have come up with - oooh! Expect plenty of photos on the blog after the event - but why not come check it out if you are in this neck of the woods!

Fully Wrapped Up.

What a whirlwind - Niche: All Wrapped Up done and dusted for April!
An incredible turn out once again, many familiar faces and lots of lovely new customers as well!
This market is growing with each and every time; it is such a delight to be apart of a great creative community who are all there to get their wares out to the public and also help raise much needed funds for the great organisation which is St Giles Tasmania.
The support that St Giles gives the design community with this market, is given back to them ten times over - with 20% of profits from each stall holder going to St Giles.

Ready To Roll.

After a lot of tossing and turning, setting up the stall in my mind whilst laying comfortably in my warm bed last night - I managed to get to sleep before 1am. Milestone!
Niche: All Wrapped Up starts today (in case you've been living under a rock!) and it is going to be fantastic.
Super duper.
Amazing.
Incredible.
And bursting at the seams with awesome talent!

See you there!

Time For Tea.

There isn't actually any time for a cuppa at the moment.
It is all systems a-go-go!

Niche: All Wrapped Up starts tomorrow - and boy oh boy, that has come around so quick.
I spent last night with Natalie at Lauren's place - Leaves & Stems - helping her out with some little jobs ready for her stall at the market too.
I have just finished some errands this morning, scoffed down some much needed sushi and wasabi mayo (my vice!) and am about to go help out Lauren again - I'm actually that organised this time around, that I can share my time with someone else - incredible!
I finished making the little Tea Party Cup Rings yesterday afternoon, they are oh so cute as well - I'm going to struggle to part with them all!

Dinner Is Served.

I have just finished making the Tea Party Rings for Niche: All Wrapped Up, these are pretty cute - I am quite tempted to keep one of each but... I shouldn't!
Can't believe that the market is this Friday - where has that time gone!
Hellooooooo market-goers!

Wrap. Wrap. Wrappity Wrap.

That is a wrap.
All the wrapped bangles are COMPLETE!
I haven't counted them yet, but I've run out of bangle bases... so that's a good sign! Phew!
I can't even pick a favourite, which one will I wear to Niche: All Wrapped Up?

Rumor Has It.

Yes.
Two weeks to go.
Eeek!
See you there?!

Make And Bake.

More time was spent in the kitchen yesterday afternoon, finishing off the clay pieces for Niche: All Wrapped Up.
Little rings have been added to the range, as well as small round pin brooches!

On A Roll.

I managed to lock myself away in my little studio space for 4 hours straight yesterday, in that time frame I finished over 80 pendants.
I have a blister on the palm of my hand from where my pliers rest when I am using them - rather amusing to me as I've never had a blister in that spot before!
It must have been the music cranked really loudly that encouraged me to work at double speed - because I have never worked so fast when making jewellery - it was actually a lot of fun.
When I packed up the pendants into their little zip-lock bags, ready to be tagged next week, I decided to do a preliminary stock count...
107 pendants and necklaces.
185 pairs of clay earrings.
243 pairs of wooden earrings.

Phew.
Today is the day of focusing on rings and brooches - feeling very prepared for Niche: All Wrapped Up now!

Dove Grey, Sweet Soft Peach, Wintry White.

And here they are.
The final colour cut has been made - as much as I was loving the denim blue - it just didn't work with That Vintage; the dark colour tend to lose the imagery embossed into it.
These three colours compliment each other and also compliment the rest of the That Vintage range - the new wrap bangles in floral and lace, plus, of course - the entire wood range.

Those who make the trip to Niche: All Wrapped Up next month, will be in for one heck of a treat.
So many amazing stalls - the good ol' regular favourites such as Hideyo, Red Bamboo, and The Cupcake Fairy - plus some new ones too, such as Leaves & Stems, Haylo and Marley & Lockyer! (And many more!)
